Valloire in France (in the Savoire region) is a large resort with 35 lifts that offers skiers an incredible 1170 metres (3840 feet) of vertical descent. Valloire has 75 pistes with a total length of 150 kilometers (94 miles). Valloire is best suited to beginner skiers and snowboarders but there is some terrain for both expert and intermediates. There are 24 kilometers (15 miles) of cross country ski trails at Valloire. For snowboarders, there is a terrain park and a half pipe. About one quarter of the pistes at Valloire are covered by snowmaking. The nearest airport is at Chambery and the nearest train station to Valloire is at Modane. There is accommodation located close to the pistes but we would welcome additional information about any hotels or chalets in Valloire.

Just returned from a week in Valloire. Great skiing thanks to good snow. Restaurants are good and plenty of variety. We have been several times and enjoy going back. Good variety of terrain but not enough to entertain experts for a week. The village could use a pool but apart form that, recommend it.
