Sipapu Ski and Summer Resort in the United States (New Mexico State) is a small ski resort with just 4 ski lifts (2 chair lifts, 2 surface lifts) with only 265 metres (869 feet) of vertical descent. Sipapu Ski and Summer Resort has 200 acres of terrain over 38 trails with a total length of 25 kilometers (16 miles). Sipapu Ski and Summer Resort is best suited to beginner skiers and snowboarders but there is some terrain for both expert and intermediates. We have no information about the existence of any cross country ski trails at Sipapu Ski and Summer Resort. Over half of the trails at Sipapu Ski and Summer Resort are covered by snowmaking. The nearest airport is at Albuquerque.

By anyones standards, Sipapu Ski and Summer Resort is a small resort. Ideally suited to families, kids can ski safely by themselves as all runs end up back at the main base where there is a cafe/bar and room for kids to meet and socialise. The runs are well marked and clear as there is very little off-piste. The resort has good snowmaking facilities. However, water is a relatively scarce resource in New Mexico and towards the end of the season they do not bother if there is enough snow to cover the runs. Even at spring break the resort was quiet and friendly. Boarding and skiing in the trees is interesting but limited and even a moderate skier/boarder will have covered all the runs on the mountain within a few hours. Getting there takes a while and although the parking is free it is not a resort to go out of your way to visit. Hawaiian day and the Cardboard Derby are good fun for kids.
