Sella Nevea, in Italy (in the Friuli region), is a medium sized ski resort with 6 ski lifts ( 1 gondola, 1 chair lift, 4 surface lifts) that offers skiers an impressive 731 metres (2400 feet) of vertical descent. Sella Nevea has 11 pistes. Sella Nevea is best suited to beginner skiers and snowboarders but there is some terrain for both expert and intermediates. Cross country ski trails can be found Sella Nevea. The nearest airport is at Venice and the nearest train station to Sella Nevea is at Tarvisio.
The first cross-border ski resort in Slovenia is now up and running. The Kanin to Sella Nevea link was completed at the end of 2009. The linking of these resorts has expanded the ski area and off-piste terrain access.
