Ikenotaira Onsen Alpenblick, is located on Mount Myoko in Niigata prefecture of Japan. It is a medium sized resort with six ski lifts and fifteen trails for skiers, snow boarders, snow scoot riders, and more. The terrain is varied and targeted at intermediate level skiers but also has terrain for beginners and advanced skiers. As one of the main resorts at Mount Myoko, the resort receives amazing amounts of snowfall each year and the relatively safe terrain and abundant tree runs and ungroomed trails offer excellent opportunities to learn how to ski deep powder. Please note that the resort name changed as of the 2021-22 snow season.

Meddelanden & nyheter från skidortschefen i Ikenotaira Onsen Alpenblick

Alpen Blick Snow Resort (formerly Ikenotaira Onsen Ski Resort) will be open for a special extended season of seven days from Monday, March 31st until Sunday, April 6th, 2025 due to the excellent and abundant snow this season. The Ikenotaira Quad lift will be open on April 5th and 6th and all courses will be open those two days. On the weekdays, the resort will be partially open.

One day lift passes will be priced as follows:

Adults: 2800 yen

Seniors/Middle Schoolers 2400 yen

Elementary Schoolers 1700 yen

*Season pass holders will be able to ski without any additional charge.

One of the four major resorts at Myoko, Ikenotaira Onsen is terrific for beginners through advanced intermediate skiers and boarders and benefits from the lack of crowds due to being the least well known of the majors. The pistes are wide and not too challenging, and there is abundant side and back country throughout the forests in the resort. Ikenotaira gets tremendous amounts of powder and the lack of crowds means that that fresh powder skiing is often available all day long.
