Hafjell Alpine centre is located at the entrance of the Gudbrandsdalen valley, 15 km north of Lillehammer. The Olympic trail network has been extended and disposes 30 slopes offering winner experiences for skiers of all levels. 15 lifts, including the Gondola, serves the 835 vertical metres from the base to the top of the mountain. Hafjell`s trademark are long runs, excellent snow and sunny climate. The snow system assists the weather in producing good conditions and covers about 80 % of total terrain. A normal seson starts mid November and closes late April.
Six restaurants are located ski in/ski out to the slopes. The guest service at the base gives you a sense of welcome and assists the guests in making reservations in ski school, child care and ski rental as well as additional information.
Hafjell Alpine Centre is one of the biggest resorts in Norway, but is the choice nr 1 for those who prefer twin tip skis or snowboards. The resort can also bost the most extensive flood light system in Norway, lighting 7 km of runs and prolongs the skiday 3 nights a week.
The floodlight also allows other non-ski activities in night time such as tobogganning and snowmobiles for kids.

Visitor Reviews of Hafjell
paul collins from Ireland writes:
I have been going to Hafjell for the past 4 Christmas's with over 100 Irish school children. The slopes are excellent as are instructors and staff, nothing ever seems too much trouble. We stay in Birbebeinern in Lilehammer,15mins from slopes. Excellent accomodation, food and staff. Back again in 4 weeks with another 100 young people...can't wait!!
