Beitostølen, in Norway (in the East region), is a medium sized ski resort with 11 ski lifts (including 4 chair lifts, 5 surface lifts) that offers skiers 199 mtrs (656 feet) of vertical descent. Beitostølen has 21 pistes with a total length of 20 kilometers (12 miles). Beitostølen has terrain for expert, intermediates and beginners. There are 320 kilometers (200 miles) of cross country ski trails at Beitostølen. For snowboarders, there is a terrain park and a half pipe. The nearest airport is at Oslo and the nearest train station to Beitostølen is at Gol. There is accommodation located close to the pistes but we would welcome additional information about any hotels or chalets in Beitostølen.

Took the young grand kids there Jan 2016; our 3 year old had his first go on skis. Loved this place so now booked for the end of Jan 2017. Time to get him on his first snowboard this year. Ideal place for them to learn as not too busy.
