Appi Kogen in Japan (located in the Iwate prefecture) is a large resort with 18 lifts (2 gondolas and 16 chair lifts) that offers skiers an impressive 805 metres (2641 feet) of vertical descent. Appi Kogen has 697 acres of terrain over 21 pistes. Appi Kogen is best suited for intermediate skiers and snowboarders but there is a also a lot of terrain for beginners and experts too. We have no information about the existence of any cross country ski trails at Appi Kogen. For snowboarders, there is a terrain park and a half pipe. The nearest airport is at Hanamaki and the nearest train station to Appi Kogen is at Appi-kogen. There is accommodation located close to the pistes but we would welcome additional information about any hotels or chalets in Appi Kogen.
